DERMAL FILLER

Dermal filler injections utilize a stabilized product used to smooth moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds around the nose and mouth. Such fillers are also used to shape facial contours. Semi-permanent filler injections, like Juvederm and Restylane, are customized for every patient, depending upon his or her particular needs. These can be performed in areas involving the face and eyelid region, forehead and lips. Fillers cannot stop the process of aging, but they do temporarily diminish the look of wrinkles and soft- tissue depressions. Filler injections may be performed as a singular procedure or in combination or with other treatments. Dramatic improvements can be seen in before and after photos of clients who receive cheek fillers, under-eye fillers and more. Filler injections often require local anesthetic injections to diminish discomfort. Soft-tissue fillers produce temporary swelling, redness and needle marks, which resolve after a few hours or days. Continuing treatments are necessary in order to maintain the effect of fillers over time. Once injected, fillers will be slowly absorbed by the body. The length of the effect for injections is variable.
