DERMAPLANING

Dermaplaning is a safe and highly effective physical exfoliation procedure when performed by a trained professional, such as the Registered Nurse at Uptown Medispa. Dermaplaning uses a sterile, surgical scalpel to gently “shave” the skin’s surface. This removes the top-most layer of dead skin along with fine, vellus hair (aka peach fuzz). Dermaplaning creates an overall smoother, silkier skin surface. It can also be used in conjunction with a light chemical peel or skin-brightening treatment for optimal results.
